Nupol Kiazolu

Who is Nupol? 

Nupol is a 21 year old NYC Native & President of Black Lives Matter Greater New York. She is currently a graduating senior at Hampton University and was crowned Miss Liberia USA for 2019-20. Nupol’s impressive work fighting anti-racism in her community has had her featured in Teen Vogue’s 21 Under 21 Class of 2018 list and The Root’s list of Young Futurists 2020. 

What to expect from her accounts:

Jackie James

 Who is Jackie?

Jackie James, also known as @fatraco0n, is an 18 year old TikTok star widely known for her interview with Riverdale star Lili Reinhart on activism. She has gained over 2.5 million followers by creating viral videos that call out hypocritical creators on the app and by using her feeds to encourage her followers to speak out for the Black Lives Matter movement. 

What to expect from Jackie’s accounts:

On Jackie’s accounts, you will see her calling out problematic TikTokers, providing her unfiltered take on racism in America, and the occasional mirror selfie.

Zyahna Bryant

Who is Zyahna?

Zyahna is a 20 year old student, author, activist and racial justice organizer from Virginia. Her work fighting racism began when she organized her first rally for Trayvon Martin and anti-police violence at age 12. 8 years later, her amazing work has had her recognized in Teen Vogue’s 21 under 21 list in 2019.

What to expect from Zyahna’s accounts:

On Zyahna’s accounts, you can expect to see lots of photos of her work in the community and how you can get involved. She also uses her social media to spotlight relevant news releases and social events around anti-racism, as well as sharing inspiring messages for Black girls (of all shapes and sizes) everywhere.

Thandiwe Abdullah

Who is Thandiwe?

Thandiwe is the 17 year old co-founder of the Black Lives Matter Los Angeles Youth Vanguard, which fights to protect LA students. She is also well known for helping to create the Black Lives Matter in Schools program, which has since successfully removed random searches from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Their next goal is removing school police from the campuses entirely. 

What to expect from Thandiwe’s accounts:

On Thandiwe’s accounts, she posts photos of her community organizing and activism. She also regularly shares book recommendations and other helpful resources for those looking to educate themselves on racism in America and how to fight against it.

Winter BreeAnne

Who is Winter? 

Winter is a 20 year old Howard University student. At age 15 she launched Black Is Lit which is an Instagram page to spotlight Black creators, leaders and activists. Winter is most known for her work staging the #ENOUGH: National Student Walkout in March 2018. Over 1 million students in all 50 states participated. 

What to expect from Winter’s accounts:

On Winter’s social media you will see inspiring quotes and tweets encouraging others to join the Black Lives Matter movement. She also regularly shares lists of organizations to support and ways to actively fight against racism in America. You will also find her unfiltered take on recent news and events affecting the Black community.
