We have some exciting news! In 2017, we made underwear better for teens everywhere and now we’re taking on another product that we think could use some serious innovation: bras. We’ve been working on this for months and we’re so excited to start this new chapter.
Let’s get real, bras can be almost as stressful as periods, in our opinion. Whether it’s a wire poking into your side, or not enough support for the girls, bras tend to be uncomfortable. Everyone remembers their first bra, but usually it’s for the wrong reasons. Training bras have always been something we wanted to hide from instead of celebrate.
We’re here to change that. We want to make a bra that’s as beautiful as you, something you’ll never want to take off. Here at Knixteen, we’re taking back the bra and starting a Branaissance (get it? Renaissance? Bras?) It’s time for a revolution!
Obviously, this isn’t exactly a simple task. We knew we needed reinforcements, so we called on five super cool teens that are serious girl bosses.
Meet our 5 Style Curators:
Bailee Madison has been acting on the big and small screens since she was just a little girl, appearing in movies like Parental Guidance and Just Go With It. Currently, she stars in the Hallmark original series, “The Good Witch.” Since she was a little girl, Bailee has devoted her time to various charities and has been recognized by Variety’s Power of Youth for her philanthropic efforts.
You might know Jazz Jennings from the TLC reality series “I Am Jazz,” but most people know her as one of the youngest publicly documented people to identify as transgender. Jazz has fought hard for the same rights many people enjoy without issue. She’s an honorary co-founder of the Transkids Purple Rainbow Foundation and works to spread the message of tolerance and acceptance.
Fiona Frills is a growing YouTube superstar. Since starting her YouTube Channel at age 10, she’s gained over 800K in followers. Her videos will never fail to put a smile on your face. She’s also a huge lover of makeup, so she created Frilliance, a makeup line specifically for teen skin. Acne can be a huge source of stress for teens, so Fiona created a product that can make you look and feel your best.
Jessica Universe is another social media powerhouse. She’s loved for her casual, funny commentary and her amazing makeup and fashion sense. Her creativity shines through in everything she does, and she even self-published a book of poetry called Fake Deep. She knows all about the ups and downs of being a teenager, and makes you feel like you always have a friend to turn to.
Mo’ne Davis made a name for herself when she was the first girl to pitch a shutout and bring home a win in the Little League World Series. Now, she’s taking the basketball world by storm - Mo’ne is the only girl in the Monarch’s 18U basketball league. She is fearless, driven and shows sports aren’t a boys-only club. She inspires girls everywhere to follow their dreams, whatever they may be.
So we have our Style Curators, we have our Bra Boss campaign name, but something is still missing…
It’s you! We need you. We need to know what teens *really* want from their bras so we can make the best bra ever. That’s why we’ve created a survey asking you about all things bra: your likes and your dislikes. We’re going to use the data and the ideas you give us in the survey to design our five bras. They’re going to be true to our Style Curators and true to you. But to do that, you need to fill out the survey, so if you haven’t already click HERE.
There’s going to be lots of other fun stuff happening over the next few months while we design these bras, so stay tuned! It’s going to be a great year - we can’t wait to be bra bosses with you.
