How do I wash period underwear?

It's easy, we promise. Give them a quick rinse under cold water first, then toss them in the washing machine with your regular clothes, cold water, mild detergent, no softener or bleach. For drying: lay flat for medium absorbency styles, or tumble dry on low for high and super absorbency ones. That's it. No ironing needed!

What do the absorbency levels mean?

Heavy: Absorbs the equivalent of 4–7 super tampons. Great for overnight or the heaviest days when swapping into a fresh pair isn't always an option.

Moderate: Absorbs about 2.5 super tampons' worth. A solid go-to for medium flow days, discharge, and sweat.

Light: Absorbs about 1 regular tampon's worth. Perfect for spotting, lightest days, discharge, and sweat.

How does period underwear work?

All of our period underwear, swimwear, reusable pads, and activewear have our patented leakproof technology built right in. Here's what's going on under the hood:

Layer 1 wicks away moisture and uses antibacterial technology to neutralize odors, keeping your teen feeling fresh all day.
Layer 2 is a super thin but seriously absorbent liner, depending on the style, it can hold the equivalent of 3–20 tampons or pads.
Layer 3 is a liquid-resistant outer layer that keeps everything locked in so leaks don't stand a chance.

Does my teen need to wear a pad or tampon with period underwear?

Totally up to them! Every flow is different, and there's no wrong answer. Depending on the absorbency level and how heavy their period is, they can wear KT undies on their own or use them as backup alongside a tampon or menstrual cup. Whatever makes them feel most confident is the right call.

Can I return my period underwear?

Because these are underwear, we can't take back worn pairs, but here's the good news: you can try one pair from your first order risk-free for 30 days!

Ordered the wrong size? We'll send a replacement pair at no cost, or give you a full refund within 30 days of delivery (excluding original shipping).

If your order had multiple pairs, just open and try one. Any unopened pairs from the same order are eligible for an exchange or refund within 30 days. And heads up, all sale items are final sale.
