What's the difference between Kt by Knix and Knix Activewear?

How does leakproof technology work?

Both our activewear and underwear feature our patented leakproof technology. There are 3 super thin layers in the liner that wick away moisture, rapidly absorb blood, sweat & discharge, all while working to keep in leaks. That means your teen can squat, sprint, stretch and move without peek-a-boo tampon strings, bulky pad seams or embarrassing leaks.

Does my teen need to wear a pad or tampon as backup?

That’s totally up to your teen! We have recommendations based on each product, but only your teen knows their flow and comfort levels.

Both the Leakproof Active Legging & Leakproof Active Short have a built-in liner with the holding power of 2 super tampons.

If your teen is wearing Kt’s Leakproof Leotard & Leakproof Tights, we suggest using them with a tampon or menstrual cup during their medium to heavy days. Wear them alone when you have a light flow.

How do I wash my teens activewear?

Step 1: Give your underwear or activewear a quick rinse under cold water.

Step 2: Throw them in the washing machine with your regular clothes. Like-colors for activewear. Wash on cold with mild detergent (no softener or bleach).

Step 3: There are two ways to dry them depending on the undies you have: lay flat to dry for medium absorbency products and activewear, or tumble dry on low for high to super absorbency underwear.

Step 4: That’s it! No ironing needed.
